Privacy Policy
Effective July 13, 2026
This Policy explains what information Simple Agents handles, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
1. Who controls your information
Simple Agents is developed and operated by an individual. For purposes of applicable privacy law, that individual is the controller or responsible operator of personal information handled through the hosted Services. Privacy requests may be sent to hello@simpleagents.co.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to simpleagents.co, the Simple Agents hosted web application, community, accounts, profiles, resource library, and related communications. It does not govern third-party websites or independent services linked from the Services.
3. Information we collect
- Account and identity data, such as name, email address, authentication identifiers, avatar, preferred language, and profile details.
- Community and resource activity, including posts, comments, likes, saved resources, categories, ranks, points, reports, and other interactions.
- Content you submit, files or images you upload, support messages, feedback, and communications preferences.
- Technical and security data, such as IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, authentication events, error data, and abuse-prevention signals.
- Optional session diagnostics, only after consent, such as navigation, clicks, page performance, and application errors. Recorded text, images, form inputs, request and response bodies, headers, query strings, and URL fragments are excluded or sanitized before transmission.
- Transaction and entitlement records if paid access is enabled later. Payment-card details would be handled by the payment provider rather than stored directly by us.
4. How information is collected
We receive information directly from you, automatically from your browser and interactions, from authentication providers you choose, and from service providers that help operate or secure the Services.
5. How and why we use information
Depending on applicable law, these activities rely on performance of our agreement with you, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, consent, and compliance with legal obligations.
- Provide accounts, profiles, community participation, resources, saved items, support, and requested features.
- Authenticate users, prevent abuse, enforce Terms, moderate content, investigate incidents, and protect people and infrastructure.
- Maintain, debug, measure, and improve usability, reliability, content, and resource quality.
- Send service messages and, only with an appropriate basis, optional product or editorial communications.
- Comply with law, preserve evidence, resolve disputes, and establish or defend legal claims.
6. Public community information
Profiles, display names, avatars, biographies, ranks, posts, comments, likes, and related activity may be visible publicly or to other members. Do not publish sensitive, confidential, or third-party personal information. Copies may remain in search indexes, screenshots, quotations, backups, or material shared by others even after deletion.
7. Service providers and disclosure
We may provide information to vendors that perform hosting, authentication, database, storage, bot protection, email delivery, support, security, optional consented session diagnostics, and—if activated—payment processing. Current providers may include Vercel, Supabase, Cloudflare Turnstile, and LogRocket when you accept optional analytics. They process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; protect rights, safety, and security; investigate abuse; enforce agreements; or support a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of the Services or assets. We do not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. International processing
The Operator and service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, transfers rely on provider safeguards, contractual protections, consent, or another lawful transfer mechanism. Laws in those countries may differ from your local laws.
9. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide and secure the Services, maintain community and resource integrity, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and preserve legitimate records. Retention varies by data type. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups, logs, fraud-prevention systems, legal records, or content already shared by others.
10. Security and no guarantee
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the Services. No system, transmission, or storage method is completely secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, altered, lost, or disclosed without authorization.
11. Your choices and rights
You may update some profile information in the Services and control cookies through your browser. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or review of certain decisions, and to complain to a regulator. Rights are subject to legal exceptions and verification.
Send requests to hello@simpleagents.co. We may request information needed to verify identity and authority. We may retain information when legally permitted or required, including for security, fraud prevention, recordkeeping, disputes, and free-expression interests.
12. Adults only
The Services are for people 18 and older and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that a minor used the Services or supplied personal information, we may terminate the account and delete the information, subject to legal and technical retention limits. Contact us if you believe this has occurred.
13. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy as the Services, providers, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted with a new effective date, and additional notice will be provided where required.
